The Epilepsy group investigates the effects of long-lasting epilepsy on the hippocampal formation of the brain.

The Cytochrome P450 group analyses the effects of long-term therapy using neuroactive drugs like antiepileptics or neuroleptics in brain, especially in hippocampus and hypothalamus.

The Brain Tumor group investigates highly malignant tumors of the brain with special focus on their development of resistance against chemotherapeutic agents.
